- CHINA AIRLINES CHARTERED -

A quick summary of my check in on Monday.

NH check-in @ 2125hrs was good and I finished it quite early. I even had time to check that all passengers were checked-in and hang around a bit by their sides. These 12 paxs were relatively nice people and all of them thank me before I left. (talk about appreciation!)

The next one was at midnight, it being a charted flight, the schedule was an unusual one. I had almost 2.5hrs to waste. Therefore, I got a iced chocolate and sat at Cafe Rizzatta. Then started to read.

I read Nancy Drew, the Australian guidebook, played with my PSP, listened to music. You might have thought these was all very exciting to me, but in actual fact, I was dying of boredom!

Finally 2300hrs. I was so glad the time to check-in was nearing. I took another fag, before going to T1R12 (about 2320hrs).

I saw many people there. So I went to the counter and asked whether CB's tourleader was already there.

Airline staff: "No. Tourleader is not here yet, but the boarding passes are already cleared"

Ah? Sounds weird, but maybe what she meant by boarding passes cleared was that PCI was done? So I decided to go to the restroom.

When I came back, the crowd died down a bit, and I saw this lady. So I asked her whether she was xx. She said yes.

Me: "Wow, you are here early"

She: "Check-in already finished. No one told you that it was 11pm?"

I heard a thud in my heart. I swear she must have heard it too.

Me: "No one informed me.."

She looked at me & I felt so bad. Actually, I felt stupid too. There I was just sitting less than 5m away, wasting my time when I could have got my job done 1 hour earlier?

Then I felt angry.

Xx was nice, surprisingly, but she was a bit judging.

She: "You should have double checked" (I did. I looked at the airport check-in list)

"Please wear your uniform next time" (I had it in my bag, but I only wear it when I am on the job. Technically, I was still early)

Anyway, today when I went to work. I told Anne about this, so that she is aware. She should, so that these kind of incidents can be prevented. If there was no tourleader, I would not have survived this.
